Hey now, a lot of those were free.


A few years back I read a YA book called "The Gospel According to Larry" (see also the website) whose main character is a teen who loves Thoreau and refuses to own more than 75 things at a time, even including articles of clothing (one pair of socks counts as one item) and bedding. While my career choices have made this impossible because I need so many books on hand at a time, it's a good perspective to chew on every now and again.


I'm not going to lie. I like shit.
